Why Square One at 51?

At the age of 51, Hedria faced dramatic and significant changes in her personal and professional life. Living in her happy world, the product of an ideal upbringing and idyllic marriage, Hedria’s inner strength would be severely challenged by the sudden and unexpected death of her husband and the launching of a new career. Armed with her newly acquired Masters Degree, Hedria not only had to begin earning a living, but she had to do it in a field that was relatively unknown…Creative Studies. Before she could be hired as a Creativity consultant, however, she had to educate potential clients on why they even needed one. Using the Creativity tools she learned in her studies, the marketing knowledge gained in a retail business, and her experience as a teacher, she began to build Hedria Consulting.
As her skills as a Creativity consultant grew, so too did her credentials as an authority on Creativity. She developed programs for young welfare moms, enabling them to achieve not only high school degrees but careers as well. She traveled worldwide, consulting with organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and government and educational groups, informing and inspiring while demonstrating the power of creative thinking to deal with change, set goals, and achieve success.
